I Picked up this amazing memory quilt this afternoon. Made from shirts and jeans that belonged to my Mom. I picked the border pattern out myself to add a bit more of a formal finish and to pull together some of the shirt colors. The back is made of a very plush and soft purple fabric.
I have thought about what I wanted this to look like for well over a year. The shirts were laundered and patiently waithing for me to put my idea that I pictured in my heart into words. I decided it would be awesome to have the bag of clothes made into a quilt before what would have been my Mom’s 75th birthday on October 3, and also the difficult 2-year anniversary of her passing.
I’m so thrilled with the final product. Cindy captured everything I hoped for and more. Even using the pocket of the jeans…that wasn’t an ask of mine, but so touching and perfect!!!
